Valentine's Day Moodboard: Dark Romance

Without giving too much away to prying Angelo eyes, this rain has really put a damper on my Valentine's Day plans. Thoughts of sundresses and pinks and reds have faded into a moody grump face Lauren who has been rugging up in leather to keep warm. It's the middle of summer! Come on!

So due to Sydney's piddle/puddle-fest, I have been forced to re-think my normal Valentine's Day attire. I'm now leaning towards moody greens topped with black leather and soft blonde waves to lighten the mood a little. Red nails will keep the Valentine's spirit alive and if the nails fail to do so, a bottle of Verve never does, so some bubbles are a must for me also. Luckily, Ang is such a darling that I could never find myself sans romance on any given day, let alone the day of romance itself, so the vast majority of my lamenting is regarding my wardrobe.

What do you think of my dark Valentine imaginings? Am I missing the romantic spark, or is this exactly what romance is about - dark and tumultuous love, spontaneity and seduction? For the sake of the rain, I'm going to cross my fingers and go with the latter.
