My gorgeous sister Mary is staying at our place for a couple of weeks over Christmas. She wanted to do something different to her hair and this is what we came up with!
Luckily, she loves it! I love it perhaps even more and can't stop stroking it, which is probably a little weird. It is a beautiful silvery purple in person and she looks like a mermaid or possibly a unicorn. It's amazing. Here is Mary before her makeover:
HOW TO: Purple Hair
Ang let us borrow his "Pimpjuice" tee, which almost explains Mary's pimp pose. We bleached Mary's beachy blonde hair to a pale yellow with 30% developer and blue bleach powder, and then applied Fudge Purple Haze, diluted with just about an entire bottle of conditioner to her towel dried hair. This is what it looked like with the goo on:
And then...
I love it! I'm not quite brave enough to do anything like this to my hair, but it was so much fun doing it to somebody else!
