It's so close to Christmas, I can taste it! On Tuesday evening we enjoyed the first of our family Christmas events; Dinner and presents at Dad's. As you can see, we had to open presents first as there was honestly no space on the table for dinner otherwise, which had me giggling like a little kid. Little makes me happier than lots and lots of present giving and receiving! Oh, and champagne. Champagne helps. Ang and I were gifted an amazing Scanpan frying/everything pan from Dad and Tan, which is incredible as our last set of frying pans were so rubbish that we literally burned through the pan so that there were holes in our pans. Not ideal. Tan made the most amazing Christmas dinner of barbequed beef ribs (dinosaur sized) and roasted vegetables with salad galore. The entrees, however, were my favourite. We had oysters and corn pikelets topped with horseradish cream, salmon roe and black caviar. To die for, amazing, rock-my-socks good. Oh, and when we were stuffed to the brim, Tan brought out a pumpkin pie with pecan toffee topping. Yummy!
Mary made the mistake of giving Ang and I silly string as a gag gift...
We got her good.
Hope you all have a wonderful pre-Christmas weekend!
