Nom nom nom! My Pinterest feed has been looking decidedly delicious of late. Cross body bags, cool neutrals and nifty pony-tails have been brightening my monitor and just about inspiring me to pull myself off the sofa (must really end serious relationship with said sofa). I am head over heels in lust with the look above and wonder if it would be ridiculous to wear a hat like that in Winter. Perhaps not, given the state of the ozone layer over Australia, but I think that I would probably still feel like a bit of a douche regardless, which is a shame because that really is a lovely hat and 6 months is quite a long time to wait to put one on.
It's such a tease to see Americans easing into their Summer gear while we are sighing and pulling our warm fluffies out of storage, but most of these looks would be do-able for Aussie winter with the addition of a leather jacket or smart blazer. I'll give our seasons this much - though we seem to lag behind the states in a lot of ways, we can usually get through winter without much more than a pair of tights and a cardigan, making Sydney fashion quite seasonally fluid, which is always nice and helps just a tad with the Winter blues. Oh, and it certainly makes a capsule wardrobe more achievable as most pieces can be worn year-round. Well, with the exception of the hat in my case. Perhaps.
I really do like the hat.
